About Wicksteed Park
Wicksteed Park, located just outside of Northampton, was founded by Charles Wicksteed back in 1921, making it one of the oldest amusement parks in the whole of England. Today, it combines the tranquillity of 147 acres of Grade II-listed country park with all the excitement of a modern theme park.
The attractions of Wicksteed Park are divided up into four distinct zones, including a playground for younger children, a fairground for children up to the age of 12, and the ‘Arena’ area, home to rollercoasters, a pirate ship, the Flying Chairs and an historic log flume.
Additionally, the parkland contains an educational nature trail, while the stunning Wicksteed Pavilion hosts regular shows, including appearances from Wicky Bear and friends.
So, whether you’re after a quiet day getting back to nature or want to get your adrenaline pumping, there is plenty to keep you and your family entertained. Plus, we also offer onsite camping and luxury lodges so you can make a real holiday out of your visit.
